An Important Announcement to the Faithful of Assumption Church from Father Gildardo

Due to the total failure of the boiler at Assumption Church, all Masses have been shifted to Saint Anthonys Church for the time being.

After consulting with some experts, Bishop Henning and his consultants have recommended that we should repair the boiler of Assumption Church in order to have sufficient heating in the basement and at the same time to provide additional capacity to keep our beautiful church sufficiently heated.

Unfortunately, the parts required to rebuild the boiler will not become available until late April. This means that we will not have heat in the basement during the three coldest months of the year. To prevent the pipes from freezing we must close and insulate the building during the months of January, February and March.

Masses will be at the same time on Wednesday and Sunday and we hope to be back at Assumption for Easter.

I know it’s a big sacrifice for everyone, but we are going to do it animated by the love we have for this church and this community. God will know how to abundantly repay your generosity.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and God bless you all.
